How accurately do people read emails?

I have noticed that in many occasions I get replies to emails in which I am referred to as "Natalie" or "Nathalie" instead of "Natalio" (even though my name was there to be read in my outgoing email).

Not that at this point in life I care too much, but what worries me is how accurately can I believe anyone replying like that would have read my whole message.

I would argue that they probably -more often than not- get the message all mixed up, if they get it at all.

Really, they cannot even copy, one word -the name- properly!

Funnily enough one tends to think that sending something in writing should make the whole understanding process easier. It might not be the case.
